The Pearl River, a major river in the south of China, is now the largest river system in south China (mainly Guangdong province) With numerous tributaries, the watercourses of the Pearl River crisscross & interwine like a brocade stertching out in south China, while Guangzhou is one of the brilliant pearl in such bar code.

Guangzhou has been the N°1 metropolis in south China and hub of politics, economics, technology, education & culture, boasting the “South Gateway” of China. In 2010, the State Post Bureau relisted a set of 4 special stamp Charming Pearl River – Guangzhou, which is not only commemoration of the history of Guangzhou, but also the envisaging to the future.
